How do I put my business on Google Maps?

Some say that there’s no such thing as a free lunch, particularly when it comes to effective advertising. This is not true however in the case of Google Maps. You can set up a Google Places account in no time at all and place your company on the Map! You might not get placed right at the top of the first page of Google, but there’s a good chance you will, particularly if you are an established business that is already well listed on well know internet directories.

Go to www.google.co.uk and click “maps” at the tab at the top of the page.

Next click “place your business on Google Maps” and follow the instructions.

Try to fill out as much information as you possible can here. Dont pull any tricks, fill out the info ethically and if possible insert some video and photographs. Encourage your customers to leave reviews from time to time and you’ll have a great map listing along side your website.
